SHIV LINGA MEANS......

some fools try things "linga" to be penis and spread rumours about hindus that they worship penis,but that not true!!! in sanskrit, shisna-penis & linga- shapeless,without organs, long drum like etc..................... shiva being worshipped as linga means the consciousness in it's primordial form,where consciousness is entering in to the eternal energy i.e shakti thus shiva linga is the state of god, just before the manifestation of the universe lord shiva is worshipped as linga because that the highest of all manifested gods, formless attribute less.
