Here is a beautiful meera bai bhajan

This bhajan is based on the events that happened when Meera ji was in her in-laws palace and her husband had died.
After her husband(Rana Kumbha) and father-in-law Rana Sangha died , Meera was named his successor by Rana Sangha.
So Rana's relatives started to torture Meera even though Meera ji had no desire for throne(power of state).
While Meera ji was busy in Krishna bhakti,
tortures came like:
Meera was sent a basket with a cobra inside and a message that the basket contained a garland of flowers. Meera, after meditation, opened the basket and found inside a lovely idol of Sri Krishna with a garland of flowers. The relentless Rana (her brother-in-law) sent her a cup of poison with the message that it was nectar. Meera offered it to her Lord Krishna and took it as His Prasad. It was real nectar to her. The bed of nails that the Rana sent transformed into a bed of roses.


सारी सारी रात मीरा, हरि गुण गाये रे,
हरि गुण गाये मीरा , मस्त हो जाए रे ।
(meera ji in Krishna bhakti day and night, and overjoyed with Krishna's love)

राणा ने भेज्या जहर प्याला ,
मीरा ने समझया अमृत प्याला,
आप भी पीवे मीरा, हरि को पिलाये रे,
हरि गुण गाये मीरा , मस्त हो जाए रे..


राणा ने भेज्या नाग पिटारी,
मीरा ने समझया, कृष्ण मुरारी,
आप भी नाचे मीरा, हरि को नचावे रे,
हरि गुण गाये मीरा , मस्त हो जाए रे..

राणा ने भेज्या भोज बना के,
मीरा ने समझया भोग लगा दे,
आप भी खावे मीरा, हरि तो खिलाये रे,
हरि गुण गाये मीरा , मस्त हो जाए रे..
