bhajan- sakhi ri baanke bihari se humari lad gayi ankhiyaan- nikunj kamra

Radhe radhe ,

i want to share one bhajan with you all, i heard it on video sharing site sung by nikunj kamra.
i like this bhajan a lot.
Sakhi ri baanke bihari se humari lad gayi ankhiyaan...

English:
My Sakhi, my eyes are longing for baanke bihari,
i tried to save them a lot, but they still want to see baanke bihari.

1. i don't know what magic was done on me, these eyes kept staring,
Like a flashing spear, these eyes stuck into my heart.

2. This beautiful image, you bring before my eyes,
tell, how, where to go, these eyes are chasing me.

3. Even if this life goes out of my body, but this image will not leave me,
in this lost heart like temple, these eyes are stuck like ruby.

shri krishna maha raas leela - part 3

Radhe radhe ,

As we read in last part, Gopis have reached to Shri Krishna for Maha Raas Leela.
But Shri Krishna tested them by saying, you should go back to your family, as it is your duty.
Gopis passed in their test, as they said-
we know our duty, now we can't go back to our family.
We would have only gone back, if we had some kind of Dosha(Vikaar or flaw) left in us.
In our previous incarnation, we were sages and walked the path of knowledge, duty etc.
In this incarnation, we have taken the form of Gopis, now we only need Love from you.

Gopis were not ordinary devotees. They were doing this preaching, gaining knowledge for number of years in their previous incarnation.
But now they understood that they can only get Krishna with love.

Gopis also said -  our heart is in your possession, give back our heart, we will go back to our family.
Shri Krishna got overwhelmed and convinced.

He replied - I can not give back your heart. The person whose heart gets attached with me, can not return to the world.

Our heart is Suksham Tatva(सूक्ष्म तत्त्व), it can only get attached to one place, either Krishna or world.
This is why one of the name of Krishna is also "MANMOHAN".

Krishna got conviced that Gopis have come with pure feelings.
(For Raas leela to happen with us, we need to have pure feelings, with any Dosha left is us, we can never enter raas leela.)

Krishna came in middle of Gopis and said, i was joking with all of you.
All the gopis felt very happy and everywhere there was delight.

Shri Krishna took many forms (for each Gopi) and Maha Raas Leela happened.
It is not feasible to describe this Leela in words.
This is something which can be felt only.
I hope Krishna give us this devotion to feel it... :'(

shri krishna maha raas leela - part 2

Radhe radhe sabko,

aapka swagat hai, kaho braj mein sab kushal to hai!!!
aap sab is samay kaise daudi aayi..
aap sab ka is samay ratri mein aana theek nahin hai.
aap sab ke pita, pati, ghar waale aap sab ko ghar mein naa pakar vyakul ho rahe honge.
yah kaarya dharam vipreet hai.
agar tumhara prem shudh hoga, to tum sab ghar baithe hi mujhe prapt kar logi.

shyaam sunder ki aisi kathor baatein sunkar sabhi gopiyaan shoka kul ho uthi.
aankho se dukh ke aansu jhar-jhar bahane lage.

Gopiyan shri krishna se kahne lagi-
aaj aap itne kathor kyun ho rahe hain.
pehle to aapne apni baansuri se humara naam lekar humein yahan bulaya.
ab humein waapis kyun lauta rahe hain.

shri krishna ne kaha-
deh ka swami pati hota hai, is sharir ka koi pati/pita/bhai hoga.
kintu aatma ka koi pati/pita nahi hota.
aatma ka dharam se paramatma se milna.
tum ghar mein rahti hui, apna deh dharam nibhati hui, apni aatma ko mujh mein lagaye rakho.
tumhari yahi dharam maryada hai.

Gopiyan kahne lagi-
hum to aapki prem bhakta hai.
hum apni sab aakansha, vaasna ko chhod kar aapke paas aayi hai.
humein apne paas hi rakh lijiye.
aapki vanshi se humara sansaar ujaad diya hai.

Gopiyon ke yahi bhaav bhajan ke roop mein is prakaar hain:

aage ki maha raas leela, is in raas leela part 3.

shri krishna maha raas leela - kaamdev story

Radhe radhe,

jaisa ki meine apni last post  maha raas leela post- part1 mein bataya, jaha shri krishna ne gopiyon ko maha raas ke liye apni bansuri se bulaya tha.

is leela se judi hui ek aur kahani shri mad bhagwat mein aati hai:
ye kahani aati hai kaamdev ki.

kaamdev ke mann mein abhimaan aa gaya ki wo hi is srishti ka sabse bada dev hai.
naarad ji ne kaamdev ka abhimaan choor karne ke liye kaamdev se kaha - srishti ka sabse bada dev banne se pehle vrindavan ke ek gop-kumar se to 2-2 haath kar aao...:)

ab devarshi naarad ki baat kaamdev ko chubh gayi, usmein abhimaan jaag gaya ki ek gop kumar mujhe kya harayega.
kaamdev ne shri krishna ko gokul mein jaakar lalkaar diya aur bole aap sharad purnima ki raatri ko braj ki yuvtiyo(ladkiyon) ke saath vihaar kare, us samay mein aap par apne baan chalaunga.

yadi us samay aap nirvikaar(vikaar rahit) rahenge, tabhi mein aapko ishwar maanunga.

kyunki bhagwaan mein vikaar nahin aa sakta, kyunki jab sooraj devta ki kiran sab yuvtiyon ko chhuti hai, aur unmein vikaar nahi aata, to bhala shri krishna mein vikaar kaise aa sakta hai.

shri krishna maha raas leela - part 1

Radhe radhe sabko,

Is post mein maha raas leela ko sunana chahta hu.
maha raas leela ko shri mad bhagwat mein kaafi importance diya gaya hai, kyunki ye koi saadharan leela nahi  thi.
Gopi cheer haran leela ke baad gopiyon se shareer vaasna rahit ho gaye the.

ab gopiyan har raat ko wait karti thi, ki wo din kab aayega, jab shri krishna apna vaada poora karenge aur gopiyon ke saath raas karenge.
ab wo din aa hi gaya.
sharad poornima ki chandni raat mein shri krishna bansuri baja kar ek-ek gopi ko bula rahe hain.
koi gopi gobar leep rahi thi, koi shringaar kar rahi thi, koi aata goond rahi thi.
jo gopi jis haalat mein thi, usi haal mein shri krishna se milne daud padi.
sab gopi ki haalat ajeeb hi thi.
aankho ka kaajal hontho par laga diya, kisi ke haath aate se sane hue the, kisi ke gobar se sane hue the,
lehnga sir par daal liya.
shri krishna raas leela with gopi

pehli baat to ye, raas leela khule aasmaan ke neeche sharad purnima ki chandani mein hui thi, agar kisi ke mann mein thoda bhi vikaar hota, to ye leela band kamre mein hoti.
doosri baat ye, ye koi aurat-purush ka milan nahin hai, balki ye to maaya ke aavaran se rahit shudh jeev-ishwar ka milan hai.
gopi ka matlab hi shri krishna se prem hai, apni aurat-purush nature ko bhulaa kar.

teesri baat ye, raas leela bhagwat ka phal hai, raas leela ke 5 adhyaay, 5 prano ke prateek hai.
5 praano ka ishwar ke saath raman ka naam hi raas leela hai.

aage bahut hi sunder raas leela aati hai joki is prakaar hai raas leela part 2
maha raas leela se sambandhit ek aur leela shri mad bhagwat mein aati hai - kaamdev leela

Story of Srinivasa, Padmavathi, Bibi Nancharamma

Story of Lord Vishnu Coming to Earth
The rishis headed by Kasyapa began to perform a sacrifice on the banks of the Ganges. Sage Narada visited them and asked them why they were performing the sacrifice and who would be pleased by it.
Not being able to answer the question, the rishis approached Sage Bhrigu. To reach a solution after a direct ascertainment of reality, Sage Bhrigu first went to Satyaloka, the abode of Lord Brahma.

At Satyaloka, he found Lord Brahma, reciting the four Vedas in praise of Lord Narayana, with each of his four heads, and attended upon by Saraswati. Lord Brahma did not take notice of Bhrigu offering obeisance. Concluding that Lord Brahma was unfit for worship, Bhrigu left Satyaloka for Kailasa, the abode of Lord Shiva.

At Kailasa, Bhrigu found Lord Siva spending his time pleasantly with Parvati and not noticing his presence. Parvati drew the attention of Siva to the presence of the sage.Lord Siva was furious at Bhrigu's intrusion and tried to destroy him. The sage cursed Lord Siva and left for Vaikuntam.
At Vaikuntam, Lord Vishnu (also called Srimannarayana) was reposing on Adisesha with Sri Mahalakshmi in service at His feet. Finding that Srimannarayana also did not notice him, the sage was infuriated and he kicked the Lord on His chest, the place where Mahalakshmi resides.
At once, Lord Vishnu hastened to apologise to the angry sage and pressed his feet to allay the pain caused to Bhrigu's leg. In doing so the Lord removed the eye in the foot of the sage, which gave Bhrigu power as to defy the Devas. Thereupon, the sage decided that Lord Vishnu was the most supreme of the trimurthis and told the rishis the same. Thereupon, they decided that Lord Vishnu was the fruit of the yaga.
Sri Mahalakshmi was angered by the action of her Lord in apologising to Bhrigu who committed an offence. She, therefore, left Vaikuntam without heeding the entreaties of the Lord.

Story of Varaha SwamyAt the commencement of the current Sveta Varaha Kalpa, the whole universe was filled with water and the Earth was immersed in it. Lord Vishnu assumed the form of a white boar (Sri Varaha) and dived into the water to lift the Earth. He slew the demon Hiranyaksha who was obstructing Him and rescued the Earth.

Brahma and the other Devas praised Sri Varaha for saving the Earth by chanting the Vedas and showering flowers on Him. Lord Vishnu decided to stay on Earth in the form of Sri Varaha for some time, to punish the wicked and protect the virtuous. The place then came to be known as Varaha Kshetra and the Varaha Kalpa commenced.

After Departure of MahaLakshmi.
After the departure of Mahalakshmi, a forlorn Lord Vishnu left Vaikuntam and took abode in an ant-hill under a tamarind tree, beside a pushkarini on the Venkata Hill .
Taking pity on Lord Vishnu, Brahma and Maheshwara decided to assume the forms of a cow and its calf to serve Him.Surya, the Sun God informed Mahalakshmi of this and requested her to assume the form of a cowherdess and sell the cow and calf to the king of the Chola country.

The king of the Chola country bought the cow and its calf and sent them to graze on the Venkata Hill along with his herd of cattle. Discovering Lord Vishnu on the ant-hill, the cow provided its milk, and thus fed the Lord.Meanwhile, at the palace, the cow was not yielding any milk, for which the Chola Queen chastised the cowherd severely. To find out the cause of lack of milk, the cowherd followed the cow, hid himself behind a bush and discovered the cow emptying her udder over the ant-hill.Incensed over the conduct of the cow, the cowherd aimed a blow with his axe on the head of the cow. However, Lord Vishnu rose from the ant-hill to receive the blow and save the cow. When the cowherd saw the Lord bleed at the blow of his axe, he fell down and died of shock. On the death of the cowherd, the cow returned, bellowing in fright and with blood stains all over her body, to the Chola King. To find out the cause of the cow's terror, the King followed her to the scene of the incident. The King found the cowherd lying dead on the ground near the ant-hill. While he stood wondering how it had happened, Lord Vishnu rose from the ant-hill and cursed the King saying that he would become an Asura because of the fault of his servant. The King pleaded innocence, and the Lord blessed him by saying that the curse would end when the Lord was adorned with a kireetam presented by Akasa Raja at the time of His marriage with Sri Padmavati.

Lord Vishnu in Form of Srinivasa approaches Varaha murthi
Thereafter, Lord Vishnu or Srinivasa, decided to stay in Varaha Kshetra, and requested Sri Varahaswami to grant Him a site for His stay. His request being readily granted, Srinivasa ordained that a pilgrimage to His shrine would not be complete unless it is preceded by a bath in the Pushkarini and darshan of Sri Varahaswami, and that puja and naivedyam should be offered to Sri Varahaswami first.Yasoda brought up Sri Krishna, the son of Devaki, in his early years. However, Yasoda was not blessed to witness the marriage of Sri Krishna with Rukmini and she felt very sad. Sri Krishna promised to fulfil her desire in her next birth as Vakuladevi in his next avatara as Srinivasa. In Yashoda's next birth as Vakuladevi, she was serving Lord Varahaswami when He sent her to serve Srinivasa.

Birth Of Padmavati Devi
Sometime later, a King named Akasa Raja who belonged to the Lunar race was ruling over Thondamandalam. He had a brother named Thondaman.

Akasa Raja had no heirs, and therefore, he wanted to perform a sacrifice. As part of the sacrifice, he was ploughing the fields when his plough turned up a lotus in the ground. On examining the lotus, the King found a female child in it.
Akasa Raja was happy to find the child. He carried it to his palace and gave it to his Queen. At that time he heard a voice from above which said, "Oh! King, tend to it as your child and fortune will befall you." As the child was found in a lotus, the king named her Padmavati.
In course of time, Princess Padmavati grew up into a beautiful maiden and was attended to by a host of maids. One day, while she was spending her time in a garden picking flowers with her maids, Sage Narada approached her. Assuring her that he was her well-wisher, he asked her to show him her palm to read her future. He foretold that she was destined to be the spouse of Lord Vishnu himself.
At this time, Lord Srinivasa, who was hunting, chased a wild elephant in the forests surrounding the hills. In the elephant's pursuit, the Lord was led into a garden, where Princess Padmavati and her maids were picking flowers. The sight of the elephant frightened the Princess and her maids..
But the elephant immediately turned around, saluted the Lord and disappeared into the forest. Lord Srinivasa, who was following on horse back, and saw the frightened maidens, who accosted Him with queries.Lord Srinivasa gave the maids details about his birth and parentage. He, in turn, enquired after their princess, her birth and parentage. When the maids informed Lord Srinivasa that the princess was Padmavati, foster daughter of Akasa Raja, He expressed his interest in her. However, He was repulsed with stones thrown at Him by the maids. He returned to the hills in haste, leaving His horse behind.
When Lord Srinivasa returned, Vakuladevi brought him his usual dinner comprising various delicacies. However, she found him lying on his bed, pining for his love. When she enquired about the cause, the Lord informed her that unless he married Princess Padmavati, he would never be well again. Vakuladevi then asked Him to tell her all about the Princess. The Lord then narrated the story of her (Padmavati’s) previous birth and his promise to wed her.

STORY OF VEDAVATHI( Previous Birth of Padmavati Devi)

In olden times, Lakshmi, in the form of Vedavati, was staying in an ashram in the forests. At that time, Ravana, the lord of Lanka tried to tempt her. In anger, Vedavati cursed him saying that she would bring about his death. To show how true her words were, Vedavati walked into the fire, but Agni, the Fire God rescued her. He took Vedavati to his house and entrusted her to his wife's care.
When Ravana was about to carry away Sita from Panchavati, in the absence of Rama and Lakshmana, Agni appeared and offered Vedavati to Ravana as the real Sita who was kept with him by Rama to evade Ravana. Ravana was tricked into thinking that Vedavati was the real Sita.
Ravana took Vedavati to Lanka thinking she was the real Sita, while Agni took Sita to his house and asked his wife Swahadevi to look after her. After the destruction of Ravana, Vedavati entered the fire when rejected by Rama.
Then, Agni, offered the real Sita to Rama. Rama then questioned her as to who the other lady by her side was.Sita informed Rama that the lady was Vedavati who endured Ravana's torture for ten months in Lanka for her sake. Sita requested Rama to accept Vedavati also as his spouse. But Rama declined her request saying that he believed in having only one wife during his life time. However, He promised to wed her in her next birth as Padmavati, born as the daughter of Akasa Raja, when Rama himself would take the form of Srinivasa.

Final story of Srinivasa Padmavati Marriage

After listening to Srinivasa's story of how he had promised to marry Vedavati in her next birth as Padmavati, Vakuladevi realised that Srinivasa would not be happy unless he married Padmavati. She offered to go to Akasa Raja and his Queen and arrange for the marriage. On the way she met the maid-servants of Padmavati returning from a Siva Temple. She learnt from them that Padmavati was also pining for Srinivasa. Vakuladevi went along with the maidservants to the Queen
Meanwhile, Akasa Raja and his queen Dharanidevi were anxious about the health of their daughter, Padmavathi. They learnt about Padmavathi's love for Srinivasa of Venkata Hill. Akasa Raja consulted Brihaspati about the propriety of the marriage and was informed that the marriage was in the best interest of both the parties.
After the departure of Vakuladevi, Srinivasa could not rest in peace. He doubted if she would succeed in her mission. He, therefore, assumed the form of a lady fortune-teller and entered the streets of the capital telling fortunes. Padmavathi's maids saw her and invited her to the presence of their Queen. The maid-servants informed Queen Dharanidevi that the fortune-teller was hesitating to enter the palace without the Queen's invitation. The Queen came out herself and invited the fortune-teller into the palace. The fortune- teller was taken to the presence of Princess Padmavati. The fortune-teller read the palm of the Princess and told the Queen about the cause of Padmavati's indisposition. She advised the Queen to give Padmavati in marriage to Lord Srinivasa. She also told the Queen that a lady would approach her shortly on behalf of Lord Srinivasa, to formally request Padmavati's hand in marriage.
After the departure of the fortune-teller, Vakuladevi arrived at the palace, and was taken by the maidservants to the Queen. She informed the Queen that she had come on behalf Lord Srinivasa to request the hand of Padmavati in marriage.Having consulted Brihaspati and heard from his Queen about the prediction of the fortune-teller and the arrival of the messenger from Srinivasa, Akasa Raja decided to hand his daughter in marriage to Srinivasa. He asked the palace purohits to fix a muhurtam for the marriage.
Akasa Raja informed his ministers and other officials of his plans. Immediately, a letter was drafted
requesting Srinivasa to come and marry the Princess.Akasa Raja entrusted the delivery of the letter to Sukamahamunin. Suka went to the Venkata Hill with Vakuladevi. He presented the patrika to Lord Srinivasa, who was very happy. The Lord sent his garland for Padmavati through Suka.
Kubera lent money to Lord Srinivasa to meet the expenses of the marriage.
Lord Srinivasa, along with his consorts and Lord Brahma and Lord Siva started the journey to the residence of Akasa Raja with his vehicle Garuda. At the palace entrance, Lord Srinivasa was received by Akasa Raja with full honours and taken in procession on a mounted elephant to the palace for the marriage. In the presence of all the Devas, Lord Srinivasa wed Princess Padmavati, thus blessing Akasa Raja.

Beautiful Hoysaleshvara Temple Photo Gallery

The Kedareshwara temple is Trikutachala built by Ballala II and his consort Abhinava Ketala Devi in 1219. Hoysaleshwara and Shanthaleswara temples were built by Ketamala to attributed Vishnuvardhana, the Hoysala ruler. It enshrines Hoysaleswara and Shantaleswara, named after the temple builder Vishnuvardhana Hoysala and his wife, Queen Shantala. Halebidu temple complex with Hoysaleshwara and Shanthaleswara temples has four entrances which are elegantly wrought with beautiful sculptured lintels, and the temples are cross shaped joined at their inner arms. The outer walls of Hoysaleshwara temple have a marvelous display of art, superb bracket figures and typical Hoysala features. This is the largest existing structure of Hoysala times built by Kedaraja, the master builder of Hoysala period. The walls of the temple are covered with an endless variety of depictions from Hindu mythology, animals, birds and Shilabalikas or dancing figures. Yet no two sculptures of the temple are the same. Soap stone or Chloritic Schist was used for the construction of these temples. This magnificent temple guarded by a monolithic Nandi Bull was never completed, despite 86 years of labor going into it. Number of sculptures in the temple has been destructed by invaders. In front of these temples there is a big lake. The town had got its name from the lake, Dhwara samudhra which means entrance from the ocean.

ni mein hath vich leke iktara -  krishna bhajan

Radhe radhe sabko,

ye bhajan thoda punjabi/hindi(self-explanatory) mein hai, so agar koi punjabi word/meaning aapko samajh na aaye, to comment kijiyega, waise meine hindi mein bhi meaning likh diya hai.
bahut sunder bhajan laga ye mujhe, isliye mujhe laga jitne jyada log ise pad/sun sake.
this bhajan is kind of a ulahaana(complaint) for our shri krishna.
bhagwaan ji ko ulhaana diya gaya hai, ki aapne pehle to dilaasa diya tha, aur ab aap mil nahi rahe.
bhaav yahi hai ki, ab hum udaas ho gaye hain aapke bina ,ab humein mil jao.

Bhajan ke bol aise hai:

ni mein hath vich leke iktara, chapa chapa chhan maarya
kithe milya na pritam pyaara, chapa chapa chhan maarya
(meine thakur ji ko har jagah dhundh liya, diye(tara) ki roshni lekar
parantu pritam pyaara kahi nahi mila)

Beautiful Bableshwari Devi Temple Pictures Gallery Dongargarh

2200 years ago the place of Dongargarh was a fairly renounced territory named Kamavati which was ruled by Maharaja Kamsen also called Kamakhya Nagri. When the Raja’s Queen gave birth to a son they named him Madansen. Since Raja Veersen considered it a blessing of Lord Shiva and Parvati he constructed the temple of Maa Bamleshwari at Dongargarh. The Raja Madansen had a son named Kamsen because of whom this area here became famous and came to be known as Kamakhaya Nagari. Then later a big battle had taken place between Raja Kamsen and Raja Vikramaditya, the reason being the love between Maadhavnal and Kaamkandla, which had led to the complete destruction of KamavatiI. Legend conveys that after the death of Maadhavnal and Kaamkandala, Raja Vikramaditya had felt guilty as he thought that he was responsible for Kaamkandala committing suicide. Then the Raja underwent deep anguish and started constant worship, resulting in Maa Bagulamukhi Devi appearing before him. Raja Vikramaditya then requested the goddess to make both Maadhavnal and Kaamkandala alive again and also asked Maa Bagulamukhi Devi to reside at the temple. Since then it has been believed that Maa Bagulamukhi Devi is present here. As time passed by the years the name got transformed from Maa Bagulamukhi to Maa Bamlai to Maa Bamleshwari as it has been known today.

Beautiful Adhar Devi Temple Pictures

Situated in a cave, The Adhar Devi Temple is one of the popular religious themed tourist destinations in the Mount Abu region. It is situated three kilometers north of the main town of Mount Abu. The Adhar Devi Temple is reached by climbing up 365 stairs carved into the mountain. The temple itself is located inside a rocky cleave and is reached by crawling through a small opening into the cave. The Adhar Devi Temple is dedicated to the Goddess Durga. It got its name because the legend has it that "Adhar" of the Mataji (Goddess deity) fell here also it was believed that the image of the goddess could be found there hanging in mid air. As well as being a popular tourist destination, the Adhar Devi Temple is also a common destination for many religion pilgrimages The Adhar Devi temple receives most pilgrims during the 9 days of the holy Navratri season. The Adhar Devi temple contains many beautiful statues, and those that make the effort to climb the stairs are rewarded with many picturesque views of the surrounding mountains and forests. The climb up to the Adhar Devi temple can be a difficult one so it is recommended that you wear appropriate clothing and footwear. You should not be turned off by this walk as the scenic views surrounding the temple and the wondrous beauty inside make this climb worth the effort.

Bharoso dridh in charnan kero

Lyrics -

Bharoso dridh in charnan kero
Sri Vallabh nakh chandra chhata bin
Sab jag maahi andhero
Saadhan aur nahin ya kali mein
Jaaso hot nibhero
Surdas prabhu dwividh andhero
Bina mol ko chero

Meaning -

Surdas, your worthless servant,
who is blind physically and spiritually,
finds this world enveloped in total darkness,
except for those who have staunch faith,
in Sri Vallabh's refuge, which illumines
this otherwise gloomy world,
In this Iron age there is no other
means to achieve You, O Lord!
except by implicit trust and belief.
